Hanging baskets for Felpham Village put up on Thursday 26 May.

The hanging baskets for Felpham Village were put up on Thursday 26 May. A huge thank you to all of the volunteers involved in what is a nine-month planning and nurturing process by the Felpham Village Conservation Society and its volunteers.  Planning started in September 2021 when the committee took the decision to have baskets once again, in 2022. Plants were ordered in the autumn and, once delivered, brought on and nurtured by a team at the St Michael’s Allotments. Hundreds of plants!

1953 Coronation Programme is available for the first time in years

The 1953 Coronation Souvenir Programme is returned to Felpham after some 69 years.   Donated by a friend of a friend, the original of the programme for June 2nd 1953 is safely kept in our history strongbox; but the .pdf of the programme is now available for all to view.

To view the .pdf and read about the day itself, about the time that our Queen visited Felpham, and much more of interest to all who live in Felpham - simply click on the link below (attachments).

St Michael's Allotments workparty

Thank you to all FVCS members who came to help at the St Michael's Allotments workparty this morning. We love this special space next to the rife and with wild woodland either end. It provides activity and wellbeing...and of course produce for many people. This morning's work party demonstrated that St Michael's is a thriving community. FVCS and plotholders working together. We got pathway chippings down, hedgerow cleared, rubble away, compost heap readied, brambles cut back and the dry levee tidied.
