The Beach Clean Work Party meets in front of the Sailing Club at 10.30am on the second Saturday of every month for a morning of litter picking on the beach, promonade and greenswards. We cover the whole of Felpham seafront from Longbrooke Park to Summerly.
We have volunteers who come regularly and others who come when they can. Some come for the whole time, others just for a half hour or so. You don't need to be a member to join in. We run the beachclean whatever the weather and even on a windy and rainy Saturday morning we have volunteers come equipped with a smile and a willing hand to help! You will be given a bin bag and a litter picker if they're available but you might want to bring some gloves. We finish at 12.00 pm but if you can offer even half an hour it is gratefully appreciated.
Our bags are sorted for recycling and general rubbish and collected by Arun District Council. A hot cup of tea or coffee is yours to claim from the Lobster Pot who have kindly agreed to reward all those who volunteer. We look forward to seeing you!
Because of the current emergency coronavirus situation, this work is temporarily (we hope!) suspended.
